It's "The Final Countdown"

... as sung by Europe, Sweden's finest rock group.

The Countdown in question is the Countdown to the end of lunches based around the Lansdowne ... so it's the "Final Lansdowne Loafers Lunch Countdown", I guess.

Today seems to be sorted - DNA with Shaune's haircut visit.

But where else should we visit over the next 11-13 lunchtimes?

I say the following locations have to be included:

Nip/Tuck (last day?)
Jumbo
The new Burger place (if open)
Brazilian tapas
Peckers
Yellow River Cafe

What say the other loafers?

Final countdown my arse, we're still here next week too ya know!

The new burger place is indeed open, and that is also an option to through into todays mix.

I agree with the Gorv. There needs to be a strategy. Time slips away after all. I think final countdown is the wrong name though. I prefer to call it a lap of honour.

A trip to DNA with an option to be sidetracked by burgers is on then?

How about "The Lunch Reaper Cometh"?

So TBH it was!

The Burger House ... with its Workers Lunch at £4.95 (homemade speciality burger plus chips or salad).

It's the old 'Blu' down Xchurch Rd - all done up with wooden floor, wooden tables, wooden chairs, wooden bar, etc. Good range of burgers (such as Blue Vinney burger, chicken bacon & avocado, etc - but main burger menu is around £6.50 each).

Nice chips - homemade, authentic type. Burger buns are good too - not supermarket stuff. Also all the meat is apparently local and good quality.

Drinks a bit pricey, unless you go for tea (£1 for Earl Grey, Assam, etc). Quite quick service and very pleasant serving staff.

A good addition to the range of lunch places at the Lansdowne. High on quality ... but at the top end of the price bracket (at least £5.95). Pity we won't be around long to make full use of it!

Also worthy of note was a special visitor in the form of Mark Hunt. Again, shame its during the Lap Of Honour.
