Judy, Judy, Judy

Well here are the photos. Better late than never. I have to say that this, for me, was a top lunch. Pesto pasta and a dozen different salad ingredients. Top notch! Shame its just a one off.

What does the future hold for the Lunch blog however? The SysOp has left for a greek Christmas - not too sure what they have over there but I'm sure he'll let us know. And others will drift off this week. So a wind down for the LLL? Still on my wish list before Xmas.

Hi guys,

i thought i drop a line from Slovakia!

Although i don't know if anyone will read it, as i can't start fresh entry.

it's great to see everyone and be at home!

i've been eating plenty of amazing food and even the visit to yellow river doesn't bother me!

our typical Christmas dinner - on 24 December - is:

lentil soup - made quite thick with plenty of lentils, dill, garlic, mushrooms and it has lovely sweet-sour taste as you put some sour cream, little bit of vinegar and sugar in it.

potato salad - bit different to english one. our one is made of potatoes, freshe onions, cucumber pickles, steamed carrots. all chopped mixed with mayonaise and tartar(not quite sure how to spell it) sauce, salt and black pepper.
with this we have breaded fish.this is made at home, no shop stuff. usually it is carp-capr(any spelling suggestions?)

to finish off we have these special christmas waffles. they are made from similar mix to pancakes. they are very thin, crispy and roled up to tubes. you usually pur honey in them.

LOVELY!!!

apart from that every family has about 10 different homemade biscuits/cakes, that you stuff your face with all christmas.

as you can see, my english gets worse as my stay in Slovakia increses!

but who cares. my belly is full, i sleep a lot and that is all that matters at the moment!!!

Lots of love and hugs from Slovakia,

Karin
