Judy, Judy, Judy

Well here are the photos. Better late than never. I have to say that this, for me, was a top lunch. Pesto pasta and a dozen different salad ingredients. Top notch! Shame its just a one off.

What does the future hold for the Lunch blog however? The SysOp has left for a greek Christmas - not too sure what they have over there but I'm sure he'll let us know. And others will drift off this week. So a wind down for the LLL? Still on my wish list before Xmas.

Another NipTuck
A Christmas special at Peckers - if they do one

Can the loafers offer me anything like this?!!

This is the kind of lunch I've been accustomed to over the last week, surely there must be sandwiches of similar sizes available locally?

...or maybe I should be thinking of a smaller lunch, just looking at that sandwich now makes me feel a bit quesy.

Lunch report from India

Hello Shaune, Hello Tim!

I'm having an amazing time, the weather;s been perfect, nice and hot - but not too hot, the food has been excellent, it has differed in every place we go to, starting a bit hotter in the south and gradually changing texture and spiceyness as you come further north. My favourite place for food has to be in Chennai.

Ta ta,

Frannie Frappucino.

Fresh ideas

Steve reports a Baan Thai lunch special of £4.50 is available. Is it true or is he a dirty liar?

Disaster

I don't think I've managed a proper full-on lunch all week! Today I'm meeting Suki to discuss his latest script.

downsizing

After yesterday's excitement it may be the start of another 'off the ball' week. Uncle is in parts distant and the Gorv is otherwise distracted. Will there even be a lunch trip?

Up for the Sausage

The Uncle has to go into town today to get some last minute things for his long delayed NY trip. So whilst he is there he'll probably gobble down a Bratwurst or maybe even some meat on a stick.

If anyone cares to join him he does have vacancies.

What then?

Unc is off down town so maybe a trip to the German market. I've yet to take the trip to California. Or is DNA calling - I need to fill in my card.

Who is up for the cup?

Laura

Apparently we have to take Laura out for lunch. We don't want to. But we have to. Any suggestions of somewhere a little bit more classy. She is the more sophisicated type.

Yellow-water rafting.

After a dis-jointed week the other half of Team Loafer finally returns!

It's been a long time coming but could today be the day the Loafers shoot the rapids down the perilous river of infinite subsistence?

Special Studio Edition

Yes. Myself and "The Uncle" (if that is his real name) are down at the studio with Cuddly Ken!

I thought all readers might be interested to know about our sub-plot adventures. Our Frodo and Sam to the main Gandalf, Aragorn, Legolas and Gimli epic.

We went to Mr Gs. Frankly we wish that we hadn't bothered. Mr G is now blacklisted. The first ever to go in the sin bin! But these are dark times and only those with a solid lunch proposition will now be considered. The 'All you can Eat' challenge is not even something to consider as who wants to eat it. Only "Big Al" if their hall of fame is to be trusted.

Tonight we went to the Baan Thai as recommended by The Gorv (is his real name!) and yet again his advice was legendary. No Hair Tony just about wet himself with excitement.

Tomorrow we go to Al's Diner.

Keep the faith. Read the Blog. Eat the Lunch.

The first ever post-lunch post?

Well it's been a particularly uneventful day for the loafers. The Gorv was trapped in a long overdue meeting, The Uncle was having a hairdo and Illias was...well, having a lunch in the office as instructed! Who knows what happened to Tim, Karin and the others. Even Steve who has guest starred so many times this week had other things to do.

Is this the end for The Loafers? Will normal service ever be resumed? Will another pesky shoot get in the way next week (although the free lunch that comes with them is very welcome!)?

Cue - dum, dum, da, dum, da-dum-dum (and a poorly scanned map of the River Stour).

Mmmmmmmmm Yellow River...................................................................................

The blog must be reformed

I'm off for the rest of week. But keep up with the blog. It seems to be in difficulty - and as the prima blogger this is of concern to me. Where today for instance?

And remember the Glenn-conclusion. Glenn was very unhappy to miss out. Mind you, perhaps California isn't his bag!

Blog down, blog down!

I'm doing a late night blog entry in the Gorv style!

Why?

To make the blog is not gone and forgotten. What with power cuts and video shoots we have no blog entries, no comments, no Caron style essays and no Karin confusions.

Hopefully normal service will soon be resumed!

Old doctors in lunch.

I was watching the latest episode of Nip/Tuck this morning and it got me to thinking....

A new agenda

Hey guys and girls. Lets think about the lunch for today. But lets also take the feedback from Glenn and make sure we conclude on a nice definite answer to the lunch destination.

Bored

I'm bored of the lunch. What can I do? I'm almost up for just a trip to Idah's!

California!

Yes. It is open. Just one guy in there and the door open. A sorry state indeed. But at least the lights were on even if nobody was home.

DVD agenda

Todays plan is thus:

Go to noodle doodle shop. Get a DVD burner from ASDA on the way back. Peckers as back up / for a change / if can get in!

Thursday, October 27, 2005

Back on?

Is normal luncheon resumed?

Going the way of the train station...

...is far too depressing to do every day in the lunch hour.

Listen to the MELON, the MELON knows best!

Today the melon is telling me that it fancies lounging around on a couch in the S&L, as young Gorv suggested.

The melon also likes an early lunch.

Let's not not upset the melon by leaving it too late today though eh lads and lasses.

LOVE the MELON.

WEEKEND SPECIAL

Its Saturday - but we still went to the Noodle House! Will it never end?

The original picture has been replaced by a funnier one.

Glenn sez...

Where today? Glenn may come along as guest star.

Jap's Eye View

Today I would like to propose a Japanese Business lunch down the Noodlebar. I call it a business lunch as we have a guest star today in the form of Richard Pride, who will be giving us a talk on video hosting.

After yesterdays outburst post from The Gorv I feel the need to insist that he comes along as I do not want to invoke his out of character wrath ever again.

FaB

In a surprise move me and The Uncle enjoyed a Brazilian at lunch time. The Gorv didn't get a Brazilian and went to the dentist instead.

Peckers

Love the peckers.
Good food.
Good price.
Its a film by John Waters.
Its a another name for your knob.

Great!

Double Post!

Tim meant to make a post today but he forgot so on his behalf I would like to suggest Creme Brulee as apparently Tim saw the guy from there this morning walking his little girl to school and he gave Tim a wave.

I'm not so sure about the whole thing but Timbo thinks it's a good enough excuse to go there.

I'm telling you now if there are no girlie staffers there today I'm walking!

Todays issue

Gary Hayton is coming in at 12 today to discuss some sound effects. So it may be a late one or I may have to duck out altogether. Hmmmm duck!

Creme Brulee

I'm always a fan of the fresh produce served up at Creme Brulee. Smaller than what you get elsewhere, but more filling. I guess that's because its real grub!

Todays venue

Friday is always a tricky day for a good Lansdowne Lunch. So what is the best tactic. Go early? Or somewhere less busy? The decision must be made soon!
